The aim of this course is to enable learners to apply the business skills needed to design an e- Commerce solution for an organisation. During the course, students study the structure and aim of business organisations with identifying the stakeholders with their objectives. The impact of eCommerce is discussed from both the customer and business points of view. Based on this knowledge, students learn how to design an eCommerce solution, with all the steps necessary: identifying the objectives, market research, target research, key processes, eCommerce systems, security and legislation.

Learners will investigate the values of business skills by exploring current, topical examples of e-Commerce practices. Learners will consider how to design an e-Commerce solution to the best advantage of the organisation and its stakeholders (for example employees, suppliers and customers). Learners will explore current legislation concerning e-Commerce based trading, organisational responsibilities and finance/payment systems.
