The school embraces two distinct areas of study united by technology: computing and IT, and media and communications.
In our Computing programmes, we take an innovative and interactive approach at Master's and Bachelor's level to
coding and programming
networks and security
Our department of Communications & Media introduces students to the latest practices in
new and contemporary media
film and radio
multi-platform and convergent journalism
This approach has helped us to develop into one of the most progressive faculties in the country. Students have worked on programming and 3D visualization for projects such as the Underground City XXI project, an EU-funded programme which brought Prague College together with teams from Austria, Croatia, and France to develop a 3D virtual platform for real-time collaboration. We were key organizers of the Secrets of Ciphers Conference on Cryptography and have produced many outstanding projects, dissertations, publications and workshops.
Our full-time faculty is frequently supplemented by guest lecturers and participants in the Master Speaker series who are highly respected in the professional worlds of IT, gaming, media, journalism and multimedia.
In addition to the traditional courses above, we now offer a special Blended Learning Programme leading to the BSc (Hons) in Computing, specially designed for working professionals.
Selina Nikijuluw, HND Creative Media Production
I'm studying media and communications, because my dream is to become an investigative journalist. The programme is great: I've enjoyed visits to the main Czech radio and TV stations as well as contributing articles on Brexit and the Dutch elections to our class newspaper. I love living in Prague: it's a dynamic city which has a lot to offer to young professionals.
