School of Media & IT
Students work alongside experienced and highly-qualified faculty members to create a lively learning experience. Find out why students tell us we're the best place to study computing, communications and media studies in Prague.
In our IT and computing programmes, we take an innovative and interactive approach to learning about programming, networks, security, database development, web design, end-user support, quality systems, and multimedia.
And our Bachelor's degree in Communications and Media introduces students to the latest practices in new and contemporary media, starting with journalism, film, TV, and radio and expanding into multi-platform and convergent journalism.
This approach has helped us to develop into one of the most progressive faculties in the country. Students have worked on programming and 3D visualization for projects such as the Underground City XXI project, an EU-funded programme which brought Prague College together with teams from Austria, Croatia, and France to develop a 3D virtual platform for real-time collaboration. We were key organizers of the Secrets of Ciphers Conference on Cryptography and have produced many outstanding projects, dissertations, publications and workshops.
Our full-time faculty is frequently supplemented by guest lecturers and participants in the Master Speaker series who are highly respected in the professional worlds of IT, gaming, media, journalism and multimedia.
Join us for a postgraduate MSc Computing degree, or one of our undergraduate degrees, BSc (Hons) Computing or BA (Hons) Communications & Media Studies.Alternatively try one of our various British-accredited professional diplomas.
In addition to the traditional courses above, we now offer a special Blended Learning Programme leading to the BSc (Hons) in Computing, specially designed for working professionals.
