2018 was a year filled with many great accomplishments at Prague College! From another great graduation ceremony to learning more about how to be sustainable, we are amazed at what our students and staff are doing on campus and beyond! We can't wait to see what 2019 will bring!
Prague College Graduation Ceremony
In November 2018, we had 212 students graduate and become alumni of Prague College and Teesside University. Interested in learning more about what our alumni are doing once they graduate from Prague College? Be sure to check out our alumni stories!
New students at Prague College
We welcomed a total of 181 students from 45 different countries to Prague College this year! Every semester, our new students attend Welcome Week, which allows students to connect with other students, learn about the college, and get prepared for their studies.
As part of our Living Futures campaign, we launched our first theme of #NoTimeToWaste. Students and staff are working together on projects that will make an impact on our community and beyond.
For instance, our Computing students are collecting old computers, repairing them, and will be sending them to a school that is in need of techonology for their students.
First MA Fine Art and MA Future Design Final Show
Our first group of MA Fine Art and MA Future Design students completed their studies by creating their final exhibition called "Parsing the Arbitrary." The exhibition was held at our very own studio space, Bishop's Court.
ACCA - Silver Learning Partner
Prague College further cemented it's partnership with ACCA by gaining the status of a Silver Learning partner. We also welcomed our first students to study towards the CIMA qualification, not forgetting the Prague College School of Business graduates who gained exemptions and are able to fast-track towards both these prestigious professional accountancy qualifications.
BA (Hons) Creative Media Production students Meet their Mentors
For the first time this fall, BA (Hons) Creative Media Production will be offering a third-year programme. Programme Leader, Maia Horniak, introduced three of the mentors who have formed part of the new course. They are the acclaimed actress Dagmar Bláhová, author and playwright Eva Papouskova, and second assistant director Martina Gotthansova, who has worked on many major features including Mission Impossible, The Chronicles of Narnia, and the new TV series Knightfall.
We have become partners with a study abroad programme called IFSA Butler, which allows American students the opportunity to come study abroad with us on campus for a semester. Through this partnership, we have had 12 students come study with us this year!
