Awards and commendations

Helena Jakoube was awarded 2012/13 YCN Student Award for her designs for the Royal Court Theatre in England. She introduced design of a personalised play which explains to the audience what happens with it from the time it arrives at the Royal Court Theatre till it is rehearsed on the stage.YCN supports worlds of design, advertising, illustration, animation and all creative business in-between. The awards are based around a collection of live creative briefs written each year by partnering brands, charities and other organisations. YCN annually brings to light emerging creative excellence from the world of student talents in creative industries.

Marusa Racic won Best Author’s Book 2013 from the Edition Lidu Art Books Wanted competition for her My Dear Omi! book. The book is a visual letter to Marusa's great grandmother speaking about her life and author's memories of her. International arts book publisher Edition Lidu continuously supports Art and Book culture, this year was the second edition of this contest.

2011 graduate Laetitia Desroches was one of 12 people shortlisted from almost 1,200 entrants for the 2011 Penguin Design Award. She succeeded with her design of a cover for a book by Gabriel García Márquez titled "One Hundred Years of Solitude". Penguin Design awards annually pick out the most excellent book cover designs  that would stand out from others on the shelf, while appealing to the book’s target market.
