Some of our classes, such as Studio Painting will be taught in hybrid format, so face-to-face teaching at the college and also via our #DigitalCampus. All Summer School courses in 2020 will be taught through the window of the Digital Campus, so it's convenient for anyone who is unable to join us for in-person teaching in Prague.

Following we spotlight a few of our courses. For information on ALL Summer School courses, or to register for a course please visit our Summer School page here.

Studio Painting

Format: Hybrid Classroom, lectures will be in-person at our studio in Prague and also online via Digital Campus.

Join our maestro painter Franco Hüller, whos works have been shown across Europe in more than 20 solo exhibitions. Explore colours, textures, line quality, shadows, composition and perspective. Discuss the techniques utilised by master painters of the past and present. We will paint using different materials including acrylic paint, watercolour, ink, paper and canvas as well as a variety of experimental media. You will learn how to loosen up your brushstrokes and use mistakes as a powerful tool for your art.

Learning with Franco via #DigitalCampus or face-to-face in-person teaching will allow you to study painting in a way that is engaging and vibrant. Classes will be combining live demonstrations, individual and group exercises, virtual and real museum tours and one-to-one support from an expert academic tutor and arts practitioner.

How can online studio painting be possible? It is, our students have been attending all art and design classes online without interruption. Franco has adapted his teaching to online instruction through clever use of cameras and conferencing software, giving you a real-time studio experience. You can read about our student/teacher experience here

Financial Crime

Format: All lectures will be via Digital Campus.

This specialist course is run by our Head of Business School Dr Stefano Cavagnetto, who regularly lectures to European business leaders on topics encompassing Financial Crime.

The course aims to develop detailed knowledge of the context of global money laundering, international crime and terrorist funding, fraud and financial crime at the corporate levels and develop understanding and skills relevant to the prevention, investigation and detection of such conduct in both the public and private sector.

Particular emphasis will be given to the importance of Knowledge Management, Intelligence Strategy and Executive Leadership in highly competitive environments where too often goals can ‘legitimise’ all kinds of means and how culture can exert a role in relation to what is seen as acceptable or unacceptable behaviour by individuals.

Several activities based on role playing will be specifically designed to accommodate the learning and to facilitate knowledge acquisition of an extremely complex and highly interdisciplinary field of study.

For those residing in Prague Stefano will also be available for individual face-to-face consultations.
