Tucked away at the end of a cobblestone street named Biskupský dvůr are the Prague College studio spaces. Up on the first floor is the Fine Art Studio where the MA and BA students work. On 11 December 2017, these students would like to open the studio's doors to the public from 4pm to 9pm.
We are a motley crew of people using the space; with a range of different skills at our disposal we share, collaborate, exchange and coexist.
The BA is a degree in experimental media which largely brings about results you would put under the umbrella of new media art practices. The MA on the other hand opened its flagship programme in 2016 with the hopes of bringing a set of disparate art practices together in a studio-centred programme. For the first time the BA and MA students are sharing a studio space and it has led to some interesting collaborations and a creative influx within the space.
With the hopes of taking this collaboration forward we decided to host Prague College's very first open studio. We hope you will join us at our studio, look at our works and works in progress. Interact with the artists beyond the set structures of exhibitions and help broaden our practice with your inputs and this cultural exchange.
