#NoTimeToWaste: High Time

by Matthew Butler, on 29 May 2019 00:00:00 CEST

Tuesday 4 June 2019 | 2pm | Minimum Waste, Zlatnická 12, 110 00

As we are approaching the end of 2018/19 academic year, we are also getting ready for High Time - a final event to bring to conclusion our college-wide annual focus, research and creative responses to the No Time To Waste theme.

One year ago Living Future chose the environment as its first annual theme, following on our past events on Climate Change as well as the dedication of our students, lecturers and staff to this topic.

Looking back at the past year, what stands out is how much has happened and changed concerning this topic. We moved through various stages of emotions and thoughts: the joy and hope of coming together, turning into feelings of powerlessness, despair and loneliness, which changed towards the end once again as we joined a global movement inspired by the same sense of urgency.

On the 4th of June from 14.00 we will gather on the premises of Minimum Waste to reflect on what was achieved over the past year, celebrate by feasting on inspiring creative endeavours, fine vegan food and conversation of other inspired and dedicated students and guests.

We recognize that this is one of the busiest times of the year for our students and staff, so we do not wish to add any more stress; we would rather use this time to appreciate those who worked on this topic and have some space to share our concluding thoughts and wishes for the environmental challenges we face. We also plan to also announce the new annual theme for the coming year.

We would like to also thank our partners who supported us this year including Green City Prague, INCIEN - Institute for Circular Economy, Bezobalu, Moment - Charity Second hand shop, Bistro Puro and Econea.
