General Andor Šándor is the former Chief of Defence Intelligence of the Czech Republic and an acknowledged expert in security, terrorism, threats and crisis management. The author of many publications on the theme of security, he now devotes himself to lecturing and appearances in the mass media.
In 2011, Prague College was privileged to hear from General Šándor on the subject of the transition of Defence Intelligence with the coming of democracy to Czechoslovakia.
He now returns as part of the college’s Master Speaker Series to talk on the interconnected topics of the geopolitical situation in the Middle East, the Syrian civil war. the rise of Islamic State, and the ensuing problems of mass migration to the EU. He will also discuss the crucial question of the ability and the will of Europe - including the Czech Republic - to cope with the numbers.
