Leon Jakimic, the Founder and President of Lasvit, was born in Liberec, Czech Republic in 1975. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles as well as an Executive MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg – HKUST program in Hong Kong.
Mr Jakimic founded Lasvit s.r.o. in 2007 through the acquisition of BOS s.r.o., a maker of residential light fittings. He re-branded the company to “Lasvit“ and transformed it into a leading designer and manufacturer of bespoke light fittings, feature glass installations and award-winning collections. Today, Lasvit boasts a staff of 600 professionals and 12 offices worldwide. Mr Jakimic proudly dedicates his professional life to supporting the tradition of craftsmanship in the Czech Republic and working to garner recognition worldwide.
