Interview with Ieva Pastore

by admin, on 10 September 2012 13:23:18 CEST

We talked with out HND Business student Ieva about her experiences at Prague College and her future plans

Would you recommend Prague College to your friends and why?
I would recommend Prague College to my friends because this school has a unique teaching system quite different from state universities. Each class doesn’t have more than 20 students, which makes learning easier as everyone can be involved in projects and a discussion with the lecturer.

What are the most important things you have learnt at Prague College so far?
I have learned many things so far, but the most important is that people I know have noticed that my English has improved since I started at the college.

Was it difficult to start here in Prague? Did you have problems with the language, different mentality? Do you like living here?
For me it wasn’t difficult to start living in Prague as I have family here, and I work in an English speaking company so Czech language is not needed and I don’t really know it. All what is needed for me to know in Czech are the basic sentences that you can use at the shop, pharmacy and taxi.

How did you find out about Prague College?
My both sisters were studying here before, and I thought I could try it as well.

Are you planning to study BA at Prague College?
Yes, I have planned to study BA in Prague College.

Has Prague College opened up new possibilities for you?
During the school time I have noticed that school staff and lecturers are helpful with offering job opportunities. I think that’s good as there can always be a possibility within the college to find a job.

What do you do when you have your homework done? Do you have any spare time for your hobbies? Most of my free time is during the day so I am working then, when I don’t have classes at the weekends I like to spend time at the nearest swimming pool or at the gym.

What are your plans for the future?
For the future I wish to open my own company.
