BA (Hons) Graphic Design final show 2012

'This Way Up', the title of this year's show, is a phrase commonly found on large cardboard boxes - and it was packaging that inspired the theme for the show this year.

The theme of the final project was “This Way Up,” and the concept represents the young designers as “mail packaging” products, including bubble wrap, tape, heavy-duty paper and other artefacts which represent packaging. The theme came from the idea that students can now officially start their careers and move up professionally in the world of graphic design.

The students working on the project were inspired by industrial and Swiss design, and the identity featured a simple, strong typographic approach, using the colour orange to refer back to Prague College’s branding.
