Future Shorts is the World's biggest pop-up festival of short films, happening all around the globe. Kateřina Motýlová, a Prague College BA (Hons) Fine Arts and Experimental Media graduate, organises screening events for this festival in Prague.
Comprising exhibitions, distribution and experimental events, Future Shorts is the product of ten years of audience development and reaction to the growing demand for alternative ways of experiencing film. The festival is already active in 90 countries, 180 cities, and presents screenings to an audience of 180 000 and counting. In 2012 this festival was brought to Prague for the first time. The screenings in Prague are a multigenre experience, often happening in unexpected places, showcasing the most exciting short films from around the world, including music performance, art exhibitions, midnight surprises and much more.
