Prague College: a clear Vision for the future

Since 2004, Prague College has prepared thousands of students for international careers in the world of business management, finance, art, design, computing and media. In partnership with Teesside, one of the UK’s most progressive universities, the college delivers British qualifications with a significant emphasis on high-impact educational practice and successful outcomes.

But the world of work is continually changing: for students to meet the expectations of employers in the 2020s, we need to show the same agility and foresight that employers do. That is why we constantly review and renew our curriculum, adding to and strengthening our academic offering in order to match and exceed the expectations of the marketplace.

Vision 2020

From September 2018, Prague College is proud to introduce a new curriculum for our 3-year Bachelor’s degree programmes to ensure our students are best equipped to learn, innovate and succeed in the coming decade.

Building on core values of creativity, competence, innovation and connectedness, we are now ready to launch the first four of these revised Bachelor's programmes this September:

BA (Hons) International Management
BA (Hons) International Finance and Business Accounting
BSc (Hons) Computing, with two options in Multimedia and Cybersecurity
BA (Hons) Fine Art Experimental Media

In 2019/20 we will be completing the lineup with newly-developed programmes in BA (Hons) Graphic Design and BA (Hons) Creative Media Production.

Living Futures

Alongside Vision 2020, we are excited to introduce Living Futures, a long-term initiative which aims to stimulate awareness of the most important challenges affecting humanity, and our personal roles in shaping the societies of the future.

The plan is to select an annual theme that brings to light the challenges we face via the interconnection of business and finance, design, media, art and computing. Our schools, students and staff then work to embed this theme into projects, lectures, conferences and shows, in order to illustrate, adapt current practice and inspire future action.

The annual theme encourages our students to be creative, and come up with innovative ideas, to connect with those from other fields of study, local community and outside experts. The annual theme culminates in a presentation at the end of the year with awards given for the best work in engaging with the theme.
