Jan Mucska

janmucska-1.jpgJan began his career 1997 at the Czech car manufacturer Škoda as a prototype designer, mainly working with wood and composite materials.

In 1999 he enrolled for studies in classical drawing, followed by new media, both at the Academy of Fine Art in Prague.

Jan has created a multitude of interactive hardware devices, among others 3D applications triggered by EEG (Electroencephalogram) input. Freelance work led him to build 3D games for neurological tests, to design flight simulators and to develop a multitude of websites mostly for non-profit organizations and artists.

As a lecturer Jan has taught 3D game development at Charles University’s Faculty of Education and web design at the Academy of Fine Art Prague. In 2013 Jan joined the Forman Brothers' theatre group as sound technician for a yearlong tour through France. One of his recent projects, a bike with a frame build from layered wood, earned considerable attention in the media.
