Nicolas started his career in New York building websites for brands such as American Express, Morgan Stanley and the NBA.
Returning to his native Sweden for a Masters in Interaction Design, Nicolas was part of initiating the academic area of Sustainable Interaction Design.On completing his MA, Nicolas joined Monster.com in Prague as a Principal UX Designer, redesigning what at the time was the leading career portal on the Internet. The work was awarded an internet excellence Webby Award in 2008.
In 2009, an project funded by the European commission brought Nicolas to Portugal to research design and creativity as a Marie Curie Fellow. During this time he was part of the scientific committee at a number of international conferences at the intersection of design, creativity and technology.
After completing his PhD and having his work published at Georgia Tech, Porto, Aarhus and Cambridge University, Nicolas returned to Prague where he for the past five years has been working as a Creative Strategist for some of the biggest brands in Central Europe including Skoda, Czech Airlines, Lego, Philips, ING insurance and Moneta Bank.
Whilst maintaining a foot in his professional practice, he currently lectures at Prague College in the MA Future Design programme.
