Kelly Hoben is an Associate Lecturer of Prague College School of Art & Design. From 1997 to 2002, Kelly studied at Ohio State University on a National Merit Scholarship with a double major in English and Art Education. She spent seven years teaching art in public schools, completing her Master's degree in Art Education at the Ohio State University, and serving on the board of trustees as Grants Director for the ROY G BIV Gallery for Emerging Artists in the Short North Arts District of Columbus.
Ready for a change in scenery, Kelly boarded a freighter ship and crossed the Atlantic Ocean for 15 days in 2010, then bicycled across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany before beginning life in Prague. She is a native of Columbus, Ohio, where she grew up immersed in the arts through several of Columbus's public and private institutions (dance, theater, music, and visual arts).
In her free time she paints, tends her balcony garden, and studies Czech (with slow but steady progress!)
