Alejandro Villamarin is an Associate Lecturer and IT enthusiast, specifically, as a backend developer and system administrator with experience in JAVA, Python, PHP and Shell scripting.
He holds a Systems and Informatics Engineer's Degree, having graduated from The Army University ESPE, Ecuador, where he was awarded a Gold Medal of Honour for obtaining the highest GPA in the 2013 Engineering class. His engineering thesis was in the area of Web Semantics applied to social networks.
Alejandro earned his Master's Degree in Computing with Distinction from Teesside University, also obtaining the Outstanding Student Award 2015 from Prague College. His Master's thesis focuses on Semiotic Engineering theory applied to Content Management Systems (CMS). His thesis proposes an Ontology Translation concept that seeks to improve user efficiency when using a CMS.
His hobbies include photography, sports and programming.
