Accreditation & Quality Assurance
Prague College offers you a highly respected British university education in English in the Czech Republic, with Teesside University and Pearson BTEC accreditation and quality assurance processes.
Accreditation in the UK
All publicly funded UK universities are subject to institutional review by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, the national body in the UK responsible for the external quality assurance of all UK universities. The most recent institutional review of Teesside University concluded that “broad confidence can be placed in the soundness of the University’s current management and likely future management of the quality of its academic programmes and the academic standards of its awards.”
Our HND and Foundation programmes are also accredited British qualifications. They are awarded by Pearson, the largest organisation appointed by the UK Government’s Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency to award a wide range of qualifications. Pearson is responsible for the highly respected Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes taught at Prague College, universities and colleges in the UK and around the world.
Some key features of our degree programmes include:
- The highest standards of UK university education and quality assurance taught by international faculty, adapted to Prague as a centre of business, art and culture
Delivery of degree programmes under a collaborative agreement with Teesside
Fully recognised British degrees, with all instruction in English
Quality assurance by the same institutions and to the same standards as in the UK
Recognised as offering foreign-accredited programmes under the 2016 Czech law governing universities
EU students may be eligible for benefits from their home country while studying at Prague College
Students of Finance and Accounting benefit from the college’s partnership with two of the world’s best-known professional accountancy associations: ACCA and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Recognition in the Czech Republic
Prague College is the first university with EU foreign accreditation to be officially registered by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports for all our Bachelor's and Master's degrees. This means that Czech citizens and permanent residents who attend Prague College have access to all normal social and health benefits for students under Czech law.
Our registration will also be of interest to EU students, who may be able to access student funding and benefits from their own countries, depending on those countries' arrangements with the Czech Republic.
