Kryštof pracuje jako volný fotograf, externí vyučující a fotoeditor v ČTK v Praze. Kříž vystavoval a publikoval svoji práci v Británii, České republice, Německu, Turecku, Indii nebo Litvě, pracoval pro média a galerii moderního umění v ČR, Německu a Británii. Kryštof přednášel formou dílen o digitální fotografii pro studenty BA fine art na Birmingham City University a jako hostující vyučující na Erciyes University v Turecku.

 

Kryštof získal MA s vyznamenáním na oddělení Vizuální Komunikace na Birmingham Institute of Art and Design v roce 2008, kam přestoupil v roce 2004 z Fachhochschule Düsseldorf, kde dva roky studoval komunikační design. V zahraničí studoval a pracoval 8 let, od roku 2009 působí v Praze.

 

Fotografie je Křížova profese a prostředek jak se vyjadřovat, jeho práce zachycuje svět okolo nás takový jaký je, vytváří obrazové příběhy, které s divákem komunikují v kritickém, dokumentárním a sarkastickém duchu.

 

Kryštof je externím vyučujícím Image  Manipulation Classes na Prague College.

Kaatya Kelly is a graphic designer with 11 years of experience. She works in several directions including user interface and user experience design, web design, illustration and typography. 

 

Originally from Moldova, Kaatya spent few years in Ireland and in 2009 decided to move to Prague. She completed her bachelor's degree in graphic design at Prague College.

 

Kaatya has passion for clarity and consistency and is fascinated by the connection between mathematics, nature and design. She loves to learn new things and share her knowledge with others. Currently she works as a freelancer focusing mainly on web applications and information design.

 

After receiving Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1992 from the University of Notre Dame, Paul DeLave,  went immediately into private practice, and worked in Chicago, Raleigh, Washington, DC and San Diego. He is a registered architect with experience working on a large variety of projects including new construction, historic preservation and large-scale site planning. Paul has worked as a sole proprietor, for firms and as a free-lance professional.   His primary interest is in sustainable design, and how this is manifested by use of responsible urban planning and the integration of buildings within a dense, community-minded framework.

 

Currently based in Prague, Czech Republic, Paul is offering design, drawing, consultation and 3D rendering services.

 

Since arriving in Prague, Paul has planned and executed several lectures and workshops with students at the North Carolina State Prague Institute, and Prague College,  and he is Summer Program Coordinator and International Outreach Coordinator for ARCHIP- The Architectural Institute in Prague, a new, English-language School of Architecture.

 

Paul's wife, Irena, is a Czech national, and they have a six month old son, Nicolas.

 

Ondrej Fucik is a freelance graphic designer and dtp operator since 1997.
He studied Printing and Graphic Design at Prague Graphic School and Cultural Studies and Ethnology at Faculty of Arts, Charles University. He earned his Ba degree in Graphic Design at Prague College where he is now teaching the Corporate Identity class.

Czech audio-visual artist, pedagog, cuarator and coordinator of cultural events. He has been experimenting in domain of digital arts since 1997. His interests include computer games design, audiovisual performances and electronic music.

Since 2002 he has focused on digital sound processing and audio visual performance.
Michal Marianek is currently curating and coordinating of cultural events in CIANT - International Centre for Art and New Technologies.

 

 

 

 

Po získání dvou bakalářských titulů v oboru Fine Art Photography a Sociologie na univerzitě v Idianě, se Molly přestěhovala do České republiky. Zde dokončila svůj magisterský titul v oboru Fine Art Photography na FAMU, kde zakončila studium vlastní výstavou a dizertační prací na téma Postmoderní fotografie. Molly se od podzimu 2003 zabývá fotografováním na volné noze a pořádáním výstav. Je zakladatelkou mezinárodního Žižkovského festivalu fotografie, a také ředitelkou vlastní společnosti nazvané The Monkey House. Ve svém volném čase ráda cestuje nebo pořádá výstavy ve Slavonicích, jednom z jejích nejoblíbenějších míst v České republice

 

Sean graduated many moons ago with a degree in Graphic Design and has since been terrorizing the graphic design fields of magazine publishing and advertising. In magazine publishing Sean rapidly progressed within a few months from a junior designer to being the creative director of his own magazine. Sean then quickly specialized in magazine redesigns and has experience  analyzing layouts and planning how to update and improve them.

In advertising, Sean has worked with a variety of clients and products including banks, cars, cigarettes, beer and chocolate. Sean has worked on both Above the Line (ATL) and Below the Line (BTL) advertising, meaning that he has been involved in everything from a shelf wobbler to a TV campaign. Sean has also been privileged to have produced some adverts that have won awards both locally and internationally.

Presently Sean is freelancing in both publishing and advertising as well as teaching at Prague College. In both publishing and advertising Sean has managed teams and took great pride in coaching and seeing his junior designers progress, learn and develop and it is this as well as his knowledge and experience that he hopes to pass onto the students of Prague College.

 

 

 

 

Dan Mayer’s interest in graphic arts began with a trip to visit a printing press on a 1979 episode of Sesame Street. In the intervening 30 years, he has created extensive work in print, identity, web and motion graphics for a wide range of studios and agencies in San Francisco and Prague.

Dan currently divides his time between providing art direction and design for Department of Design and teaching graphic arts courses at Prague College. He holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, a certificate in Graphic Design, and has been nominated for a Webby Award on the basis of his art direction for the Tensys Medical web site.

 

 

 

 

 

Hana grew up in the Czech Republic and gained her experience in graphic design at graphic studio Mimetic Prague. She has since worked at the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi Prague, PR agency Fision, and the graphic studio  Dept. of Design since 2003 as an art director. As a teacher she would like to help the students to understand that every part of the project can be interesting, to develop their creative ideas and layouts and be able to prepare their documents as professional designers.

Tom má široké zkušenosti v oblasti grafického designu, v které pracuje již přes 15 let a má zájem o oblast informační technologie. Jako spoluzakladatel společnosti Department of Design "DoD" se Tom zaměřil převážně na řízení DTP a interních systémů. Za poslední dva roky byl Tom zodpovědný za řízení a byl aktivní ve všech oblastech firmy od rozvoje obchodu až po sestavení a údržbu IT systému, úpravu barvy, marketing a klientský servis. 

enni Meili Lau's work (and play) includes writing, photography,graphic design, web design, illustration, experimental video, and any combination thereof. Her experience includes work as a photographer for the Washington Post Southeast Asia Bureau, a contributing writer on design matters for Metropolis Magazine, and a foreign correspondent based in Hong Kong reporting on art and culture for the International Herald Tribune.

Her graphic design projects range from compact websites for small businesses to visual solutions for larger companies and institutions, including illustration for the New York Times, promotional and environmental graphics for Yale University Architecture Department, and graphics for the grand opening of the Buddha-Bar Hotel Praha. She is author of Prague Then and Now and is working on a book of photography on Prague's urban environment. She has a BA from New York University in English and Photography and a MFA from Yale University School of Art in Graphic Design.

Jenni has been a Graphic Design Lecturer at Prague College since 2008.

Ryan was born and raised in a small town in North Texas. His weekends were filled with tree houses, cows and B-B guns.
After realizing that he would have to make something of himself he decided to attend the University of North Texas.

Then he was surrounded by music and art students. He also fell in love with design. He realized that his whole life had basically been spent designing things, yet he never knew what it was called.This preternatural obsession for creative action assured that he would do well in design school, and soon he acquired his bachelor's of fine arts.

After school he decided to take a break from the cultural monolith of the American dream to pursue some work experience
in Amsterdam. Once again his surroundings shifted.

While in Holland he worked for two companies and learned how to swim in the design world. After 2.5 years
in The Netherlands he once again uprooted himself. This time to Prague.

He now lives and works in the city of a thousand spires and is half owner of Ask designers. He teaches design applications and web design at Prague College.

 

 

Jeremiah Palecek attended the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, The Glasgow School of Art, and graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with multiple focuses in Painting as well as Art History. His work has been featured in magazines as varied as Level, Print, Wired, and Domino. Much of his success can be attributed to large online blogs which frequently write about his new works. He has created paintings for Google's headquarters in California as well as having some of his pieces in the private collection of Chad Hurley (The founder of YouTube.Com). Jeremiah's oil paintings focus on the digital world and thus much of the attention he has received can be attributed to the fact that he creates paintings about technology rather than traditional subject matter. When not posting his new works to his website he shows at Styx Gallery in Berlin.

As a teacher Jeremiah hopes to show students that not only technical proficiency in various applications is important, but that students must also learn how to be creative individuals who can pull inspiration from various sources which they can then incorporate into their own personal styles.

Jeremiah currently teaches Visual Culture, and Drawing.

Martin Zet is a well known contemporary Czech artist whose work includes sculpture, performance, poetry, sea drawings, and publishing. His career spans several decades and has performed or exhibited all over the world.

 

He currently lives in Libusin, a village to the north of Prague, with his wife and children.

David Petryca is a qualified Graphic Designer and has over 15 years experience in the advertising and media industry in Australia. Beginning his career as a print designer David has moved over to multimedia and web development with the advent of the new media and internet.

David's skills and experience range from graphic design and visual identity to coding highly optimised web pages using the latest technologies like XHTML and CSS. David has also advanced knowledge of Macromedia Flash MX, and web application technologies like PHP/MySQL.

David's personal interest lies in the information aspect of the internet, building websites that are not only visually appealing but also confirm to the latest standards of accessibility and user interface design.

He has been teaching mostly web design classes at Prague College since 2004.

 

 

David Wadmore is a visiting Senior Lecturer in publishing design and runs workshops in typography and design direction. With over 30 years experience in art direction of magazines and newspapers, David now runs his own consultancy, newsdesign.co.uk., working with national papers in the UK and Africa. 

 

He was Group Design Director for the Telegraph Media Group and spent many years as associate Head of Design at the Times in London, where he was the lead designer in the paper’s switch from Broadsheet to Compact. He has art directed at The European, the London Daily News and the Observer magazine and been involved in more magazine launches than he can remember!

 

His roots are in hot metal production, and he delights in sharing his passion for good typography and using the latest technology to foster an open, inventive approach to visual journalism.

Sound designer and mix engineer from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bethany Lacktorin brings ten years of audio post production experience to the classroom. With a background education in music performance for violin and a degree in sound production, experience in film-scoring, sound reinforcement and art installation, Bethany is an active member of the Prague art and music scene as an artist, performer, composer and recordist.

Radim Labuda was born in Bratislava, Slovakia in 1976, studied architecture and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (AVU) in Prague in 2006 at the department of New Media. In 2004 received a semester exchange at San Francisco Art Institute.

His work is centered especially around postconceptual practice of video art, installation and performance. Anchored in the ever-shifting grounds of late 20th century philosophical thought his work deals with a wide range of positions and ideas oscilating around notions of body, image and fetish in social situations.
 
He is also developing a continuous sideline of sound installations. In 2005 he was a finalist for the Oskár Čepan Award in Slovakia and in 2008 Radim won the Jindřich Chalupecký Award in the Czech Republic.

Radim is teaching Video editing and production at Prague College.
